A nation’s representational art has served as a historical window into a culture’s
traditions and ideologies. It has given subsequent generations a sense of pride and an
understanding of their ancestors and has given forefathers the opportunity to convey
their aspirations like no other genre.
A portrait is the most fundamental expression of representational art. It allows an
individual to communicate across time and space. For parents it captures special
moments in the lives of their children. For descendants it is a reminder of their heritage.
It is an awesome experience to stand in the fine museums of the world and view
portraits of the Great Masters who were able to depict a broad spectrum of human
emotion and experience. It is my hope to achieve similar results for today’s patron so
that their legacy will likewise remain before the eyes of posterity.
