Join the UTPB Sociology Club and get involved!
The sociology club provides students with an understanding of the various ways in which sociology as a discipline can give expression and meaning to a person's life through different social interaction experiences.
Frequently, club members take on projects that will provide benefits to disadvantaged groups in the Permian Basin. Members of the club have often conducted food drives for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They also participated in a drive for the El Salvador earth quake victims and built houses for "Habitat for Humanities".
Fun focused social events are held throughout the year. One annual event in which the club participates is the Halloween booth at Carnival. Christmas parties at Dr. Hadjicostandi's house are always a blast!
