It is required that students participate in an internship during their junior or senior year in order to  aquire work type experience. Students can choose to do their internship in numerous social organizations. Organizations in which students have done internships include: child or adult protective services, probation and parole offices, youth detention centers, nursing homes, social services department of hospitals, senior citizens centers, rape crisis centers, battered women's shelters, chambers of commerce, human service departments of business and governmental bureaus, United Way Agencies, nurseries and many more. Frequently, upon graduation students can get jobs in the organizations in which they have done the internship.
