UTPB accepts a maximum of 21 lower level semester credit hours of transfer courses in Criminal Justice. These 21 semester hours can only be from among the following:

Any or all of these 4 courses (a total of 12 hours):
CJ 1307 Crime in America*
CJ 1301 Introduction to Criminal Justice
CJ 1310 Fundamentals of Criminal Law
CJ 1306 The Courts and Criminal Procedure

Any 3 of these 6 courses (a total of 9 hours):
CJ 2328 Police Systems and Practices**
CJ 2314 Criminal Investigation
CJ 2323 Legal Aspects of Law Enforcement
CJ 2301 Community Resources in Corrections
CJ 2313 Correctional Systems and Practices
CJ 1313 Juvenile Justice Systems

Note: All of these 21 transfer credit hours will be counted toward the 120 hours requirement needed to graduate. Only two courses as specified by the asterisk (*) will be used to fulfill the criminology major requirement at UTPB.
