The NMR Lab's instrument is capable of multinuclear operation. In addition to classic proton NMR, we are able to effect such analyses as heteronuclear correlation spectroscopy and NMR of a wide variety of elements such as phosphorous and vanadium, by virtue of the fully tunable multinuclear probe.

The stationary magnet is a 5.87 Tesla superconducting electromagnet housed in liquid helium, and that is housed in liquid nitrogen.

Student in LabAs a user interface, we are using a Dell PC, running Bruker Top-Spin  software. This runs the network including the two Unix-based computers in the console, which maintains the actual direct control over the NMR.
