Bruker 250 MHz NMR Spectrometer with
multinuclear probe and superconducting magnet
Dell PC
Bruker Top Spin 1.3Analytical Software
The NMR Lab's instrument is capable of multinuclear operation. In addition to classic proton NMR, we are able to effect such analyses as heteronuclear correlation spectroscopy and NMR of a wide variety of elements such as phosphorous and vanadium, by virtue of the fully tunable multinuclear probe.
The stationary magnet is a 5.87 Tesla superconducting electromagnet housed in liquid helium, and that is housed in liquid nitrogen.
As a user interface, we are using a Dell PC, running Bruker Top-Spin software. This runs the network including the two Unix-based computers in the console, which maintains the actual direct control over the NMR.
