UTPB campus-Spanish

Please join us in congratulating the Spanish Bachelors and Masters Degree Graduates for the last years, all of them have a job at the moment. For the graduate students each semester, the Office of UTPB of Graduate Studies offers $1000 per year to the graduate student who applies for admission in the Master of Spanish. You must enroll in nine credit hours, which means that you need to be a full-time graduate student. In addition, you can apply for a graduate assistantship. Each semester the Graduate Studies office offers two or three graduate assistantships of about $4000 per semester. To apply for these, you need to fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Take the GRE Exam. (Has been temporarily suspended.)
  2. Fill out the Graduate Application Form (providing official copies of all transcripts)
  3. Write an essay in Spanish (1 page along on any literature topic).
  4. Fill out the Graduate Assistantship Application form.

Graduate Assistant Responsibilities:

  1. Be willing to enroll in 9 Credit Hours at the Master Level.
  2. Be available to work with a Spanish professor 19 1/2 hours a week, helping him/her to do research and to assist in preparation of material for teaching classes.
